Gardens of the Garden State

		We will start our tour at 7:30 am in midtown Manhattan, 8th Avenue between 33rd and 34th Street (by Duane Reade) DON'T BE LATE! Come 15 minutes early to sign in. You will be greeted by your tour guide for the day. You will sign our liability waiver, and after departure a light breakfast will be served on board the van.

		It’s no secret that the Garden State is home to a lot of beautiful greenery. On this tour we will explore many of the arboretums, gardens and parks of New Jersey in one eventful day. We will visit about 6-9 parks in total this day. This tour is a true "garden hoppers" dream coming true. In between visiting all the gardens, we will either eat a picnic lunch pack at one of the gardens, or we will eat lunch at a local restaurant Many of the arboretums and gardens are surrounded an old mansion or historical house. Most of these buildings are not open to the public, but we will enjoy the beautiful surrounding gardens. One of the places that we will visit has a display of historical horse carriages. Some of the gardens have a scenic pond or lake. We will also indulge ourselves in a short hike to a scenic small waterfall. Sometimes the parks are closed to the public for private event’s such as weddings etc. so we will not list the specific names of the parks since we might not go there, but we do know of plenty of parks/arboretums within a relatively short drive to keep us busy all day.



		We will drive back to NYC. Arrival back to NYC at approximately 7 pm. WHAT TO BRING AND WEAR FOR THE TOUR ID: Please bring a valid government issued identification. (Adults only) TOUR CONFIRMATION: Either on your phone or printed out CLOTHES: according to the weather. FOOTWEAR: Good walking shoes or sneakers. Do not wear dress shoes or high heels. RAIN GEAR: Even with no rain in the forecast, we recommend you to bring some rain gear. WATER: In a plastic bottle, especially on hot days. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration. CAMERA: With extra memory/film is highly recommended. You will experience breath taking scenery. CASH: Although our tour is classified as an "all inclusive". It is advisable to bring some cash for snacks and gratuities for the guide which is left to your discretion. INSURANCE: Even if this is just a day tour, if you are concern about losing money due to illness (including Covid-19) or other unpredictable matters, we highly recommend you buy a travel insurance.
